IDEA'S COME AND GO

I've been thinking about pursing photography from the moment I picked up my first camera. I've thought for YEARS about starting my own business and then A couple days ago I was with my sister and it came to me! I'm going to start a unique business, it'll be different and it will be a risk BUT I think it'll do well! Okay so my last post was about why I love photography, all summed up, it's because I like capturing REAL emotion. EXAMPLE of the new business idea: What if I went to a families house or on a hike with them and spent the whole day with there. It would be like any normal day and I would snap photos all day. It would be catching the family in their natural state and the photos would be my signature. I mean when you walk into a house do you see posed photos? YES! Do you see photos that show REAL emotion? Rarely. If I could bring life into portraits then my love for this art would be shared with the everyone that looked at these individuals photos. You all need to tell me what you think! Why do I love photography?

I just got back from a trip to Hawaii with my family. There were 23 of us and it was absolutely insane BUT having 10 children under the age of 9 gave me a reminder on why I love photography so much. It's not about seeing who has better pictures or how good your camera is, it's about capturing the REAL emotion. True photography to me, is looking at a picture and being able to tell exactly how someone felt. It's about feeling the emotion while staring into a child's eyes that have been glazed because of recent tears, or a smile so big because laughter was taking place. Photography is about capturing a memories as best as you can. What better way that to take a million pictures and looking through them every once in a while? It'll bring the joy from a specific moment in time back for a few seconds, minutes, or even hours. Sometimes photos can bring tears of remembrance after a loved one has passed away, because it's the only thing you have that outlines their beautiful face. I hope these pictures give you a brief example of my love for photography. Remember to look beyond the picture itself, there is always something behind the scenes that often goes unnoticed.

These were taken in Salt Lake City, Utah. The temple is always wonderful to capture. There is so much beauty to capture that I couldn't get it all but here it is, my own castle..the place I'm going to get married. The waterfall thing is right in front of the entrance to Temple Square.

Spontaneous Moments can sometimes bring great photography opportunity. My friends Chynna, Sarah, Shelby and I all decided to just drive around and see where the road takes us. We ended up in Feildbrook, Arcata, McKinleyville, and Trinidad. It was a great adventure and I hope you enjoy the pictures!

I had a photo assignment for school and I used my best friend Terra as my model. The objective of this assignment was to capture movement. However sometimes you don't always come out with what you are trying to do, some of these have movement but most don't. Getting to know photoshop

I just went to the beach and it was CRAZY!!! The ocean was crazy rough so I had to get these pics really FAST! There were 20 FT sweels and the

tide was high so I had to run and capture these and then try not to get wet! Hope you enjoy these even though they were snap shots! Let me know which ones are your favorite!

I know i haven't posted for a while, so here are some of my recent pictures! the beach ones were taken this previous friday and the others yesterday, sunday september 29, 2008. An interesting thing about the sand dollar pictures is that i really wanted to find a whole one cause.. i've never once in my 17 years of living have been able to and this is as close as i go haha but, i do have to admit the single grains of sand and the jagged edges add so much to the photos. tell me what you think.

My Model

So Nataile being the wonderful person she is decided to let me use her as a model. I'm trying to get ready to take senior portraits of my friends for next years and i needed to see what looked good. I also had a final in photography. We had to go take pictures of bright colored objects and then make them stand out. I decided to use a person because its' more of a challange for me. geology field trip!

So I went on a geology field trip on Friday May 23, 2009 and well lets just say besides the aching muscles everything turned out perfect. I got some knew butt muscles i didn't know I had and I got some very amazing pictures. I hope you enjoy them as much as i enjoyed hiking 5 miles up hill to get them. haa

Heart shaped hand prints

Iabsolutly love this one, if you didn't notice the hands make a heart shape. It really makes you look at the picture. This picture isn't photoshoped, but i'll have to admit the photoshoped is perfect. i'll try to put it on but for some reason it wouldn't upload.

This is one of my most recent favorite. I tried to get the contrast to come out very well and it totaly worked. If you are a freak about photography like i am, notice the sharpeness of the brown needles in the backround abd how some are blury and some are as sharpe as they can get. This picture did not have any photoshop so it's all natural. I'll be putting a coupple more of pictures that i took on this same day on shortly. Thanks for looking everyone!
